IN 2024, WE DECIDED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “LE IRIS DI TREBECCO - UNA IRIS PER NON DIMENTICARE” BOTANICAL PROJECT. THIS INITIATIVE SEEKS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE BY BRINGING PEOPLE CLOSER TO NATURE, VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN BY RAISING AWARENESS ON THE ISSUE, AND SPREADING THE HEALING POWER OF BEAUTY.
THE FLOWER BED OF OUR EXPLORATORY GARDEN
In 2024, we joined this project by planting irises from Luigi Mostosi’s collection in a dedicated flowerbed within our exploratory garden. During the inauguration of this space at our Carvico plant, Benedetta Grigolin symbolically planted the first Iris, and each guest received a rhizome to plant and grow in their own home.
This sends a powerful message to our internal and external stakeholders, a thoughtful way to raise awareness, and a concrete commitment to social causes of great importance. We chose to support this project because we fully align with its values, methods and goals.
We discussed the significance of the project and our involvement with Cristina Mostosi, the founder of the association, who shared with us the profound emotional impact of her personal pain and the immense strength it took to transform it into a positive, public commitment for future generations.
THE PROJECT
The “Le Iris di Trebecco” association was founded in 2022 by Cristina Mostosi in memory of her sister Paola, a victim of feminicide in 2002. Today, the association collaborates with private and public organisations, distributing kits containing 12 bearded iris rhizomes to create flowerbeds that serve as symbols of hope and positivity, giving a voice to those who have lost theirs.
