What happens when sun protection is applied also to the cladding on a facade? This can be seen in the project commissioned by Valetudo that chose Magnetti Building as its competent partner for the co-designing and construction of its new warehouse.
Carvico (Bg), 6th September 2018 – The consultancy service and technical expertise of Magnetti Building, together with the excellence of the solutions proposed, enabled Valetudo, a cosmetics and pharmaceutical company active in scientific and formula research aimed at achieving the well-being of skin, to design and construct a new building to be used as a warehouse, on which a special type of paint was used, capable of protecting against UV rays. Therefore, this was a special paint in which a particular chemical element was used, based on the same principles as sunscreen products, the same that everyone uses during their summer holidays. The benefit for the building is the same: protection against sun rays and to maintain, over time, the chromatic intensity of the facade.
Founded in 1982 by cosmetic chemist Vittorino Bortolin, Valetudo has undergone, over a 30-year period, continuous growth and has made progressive scientific and technological progress that have led it to increasingly establish itself on a national and international level. The company provides its customers with an efficient production and marketing service of a wide, diversified range of products intended for use in the dermatological sector. For this very reason, Valetudo considered protecting not only people from sun rays but also its buildings.
Here is where Magnetti Building comes into play, chosen from among the companies competing against each other in the tender for this project. The experience of Magnetti has supported Valetudo throughout all design stages, from the consultancy service right up to the definition of the most suitable structural solutions to enhance the value of the new premises, for example the selection of doors and windows that are consistent with those proposed for the other buildings already in use. The result obtained is a particular facade, painted anthracite grey with darker horizontal areas capable of providing an original chromatic effect. In addition to its aesthetic beauty, there is also the protective factor generated by the special mix, that make sure that the appearance of the building will remain unchanged over time.
