A FACTORY OF YESTERYEAR
The new Bergamo-based offices of Hewlett Packard will be one of the 63 production, research and development centres that the US company possesses worldwide. The chosen area is situated between the municipalities of Stezzano and Bergamo and meets the needs of accessibility to the area: moreover, far from negligible are the remarkable logistic advantages provided by its close proximity to the H.P. Headquarters in Cernusco S.N. as well as the presence of skilled labour in the Bergamo area. The structure and the infill walls of the three main buildings have been built by Magnetti Building S.p.A., that, by using its own computer-aided design software and its know-how regarding building materials, has been able to find aesthetic and technological solutions to fulfil the customer’s needs. The external cladding of the buildings, approximately 4,500 m2 of infill walls, consists of concrete panels.
