Cool Roof - Acqua-Stop®

Developed in collaboration with the Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Department of the University of Genoa, Acqua-Stop® consists of a continuous TPO membrane fixed to the roof by electromagnetic induction, eliminating the need for drilling. This certified solution comes with a warranty that extends 5 years beyond the 10-year legal requirement, improving roofing performance and durability.

The colour and technical properties of TPO not only enhance the effect of traditional roofing but also offer high resistance to weathering, making it an ideal Cool Roof solution. With a Solar Reflection Index (SRI) exceeding 100, Acqua- Stop® helps reduce the temperature in urban heat islands, prevents overheating of the roofing system, and enhances indoor and outdoor living comfort.

In addition to reducing heat absorption during the summer months and contributing to the overall sustainability of the building, the Acqua-Stop® covering is stable, non-toxic, completely waterproof and can be integrated with the latest photovoltaic systems.

The high solar reflectance index (SRI) enables the creation of Cool Roof solutions that combat heat islands within cities. They have a positive impact on the health of inhabitants, enhancing street liveability and contributing to the fight against climate change.

Waterproof

The roof's resistance to weathering is guaranteed by the continuous TPO covering, mechanically secured to the plate and the underlying insulating structure. The fastening is dimensioned according to the building's specifications, with meticulous attention to corner installations and a special magnetic induction design that eliminates the need for holes.

Customisable

The Acqua-Stop® system offers high aesthetic appeal with its uniform, clean and smooth mantle. It is also customisable with colour options in white, red or green, which can make it a distinctive and recognisable feature of the plant.

Durable

The application of insulating and waterproofing layers fastened securely to the concrete structure simplifies adjustments and maintenance. It ensures greater durability of the roofs, rationalisation of the finishing process on-site and allows for immediate detection of surface anomalies or damage.
