AN ORIGINAL URBAN RETAIL MODEL
The Plasticasa shopping complex is an example of construction redevelopment, modernisation and refurbishment carried out by the Magnetti Building Service Department. The customer’s project, a historical commercial enterprise in the Canavese area, was developed into premises for commercial use covering a surface area of 2,500 m2 with strong representational characteristics, that both updates and redevelops its relationship with the surrounding urban fabric in terms of architectural shape, form and materials. This is shown just as much in the dark, exposed brick cladding that becomes common platform between the construction and appearance of the adjacent masonry structures and the new complex, as in the colour, using allegorical figures to illustrate the expressive vitality of the plastic material.
